My Life Story

I am Elmamay E. Rivera, 20 years of age. My story began even before I was born. From the moment I was conceived, my parents Edgar C. Rivera and Alma G. Rivera already dreamed of a brighter future for me. On October 24, 2004, those dreams came true when I was born in my beloved hometown of Diamantina, Aurora, Isabela.

As a baby, I grew up in the warmth and love of my family, including my brother Edmar E. Rivera. Life was not abundant in riches, but it was filled with care and lessons. My childhood was simple—I remember playing volleyball with friends, watching movies that sparked my imagination, and reading Wattpad stories that transported me to different worlds. I discovered joy in the little things and learned to appreciate life one step at a time.

My educational journey began at Sta. Rita Elementary School in Sta. Rita, Aurora, Isabela, where I laid the foundation of my learning from 2010 to 2016. I then continued to Doña Aurora National High School in San Juan, Aurora, Isabela for my junior high school years from 2016 to 2020. For my senior high school education, I attended Aurora National High School in Ballesteros, Aurora, Isabela from 2020 to 2022.

Throughout my life, I've developed a passion for playing volleyball, which taught me teamwork and perseverance. My love for watching movies opened my mind to different perspectives and stories, while reading Wattpad stories fueled my imagination and love for literature. These hobbies have shaped who I am today and continue to bring joy to my life.

As I continue my journey, I carry with me the values instilled by my family, the lessons learned from my experiences, and the dreams that drive me forward. My story is still being written, and I'm excited to see what the future holds. that if I wanted something, I had to work hard for it. Nothing was given instantly; everything was earned.

Growing up, I faced challenges that tested my character. There were days when life felt heavy, but there were also countless happy moments I will never forget—family celebrations, the laughter I shared with friends, and the pride of achieving small goals I worked hard for. These unforgettable experiences shaped my resilience and gave me the strength to continue moving forward.

As I grew older, I discovered many of my skills and passions. I became interested in technology and creativity, which led me to work in data annotation, video editing, and graphic design. Because of my hard work, I was also able to buy my own laptop—simple yet very useful, and something I know will continue to help me in my studies and career.

I also found another passion: music and events. I joined a professional sound system team, working as an LED wall operator and a music DJ at various events such as weddings, fiestas, and other occasions. In addition, I sometimes work as a driver whenever my cousin needs me, especially when someone rents their vehicle.

Through these experiences, I learned how to balance responsibility with passion, and I gained confidence in myself. These jobs not only supported me financially but also helped me develop my talents. I know it is difficult to balance work and studying, but I continue to do so because I don't want my parents to struggle for me, especially since our life is not one of luxury.

Currently, I am a senior student at Isabela State University Cauayan Campus, taking up Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (BSIT). I am a 4th year irregular student, and at the same time, a working student. Every day, I commute from my hometown of Benito Soliven to Cauayan City and back. Though tiring, this routine has taught me endurance, patience, and sacrifice.

Looking back from the time I was in my mother's womb to where I stand today as a college senior, I see my life as a journey of struggles, perseverance, and growth. Every hardship, every happy memory, and every lesson has shaped me into the person I am now.

In the future, I want to become successful so I can repay the sacrifices of my family. With the skills and knowledge I have learned, I aim to provide them with a better life while also sharing my abilities to help others. I also wish to continue pursuing my passion for music and events, blending creativity with technology as part of my path.

I have realized that life is not about how fast we achieve success, but how strong we stand through struggles. The values of hard work, perseverance, and humility will always guide me wherever life takes me. Lastly, I am deeply grateful to my parents, family, and friends who have supported me every step of the way. Without them, I would not be who I am today. My story is still being written, but I believe that with faith, determination, and love, the future ahead of me will be bright and lastly I believe that if there's a lot of problems there's have a lot of solutions so keep looking forward.
